Eclipse Tomcat

I have decided to try out the Eclipse IDE.

There is a Eclipse Migration Guide avilable at IBM Developerworks - this is the IntelliJ2Eclipse version, guides are also available for NetBeans and JBuilder.
There is a plugin for the Subversion version control system, called Subclipse.

Installation is as easy as:

  1. Start Eclipse
  2. Go to the Help menu->Software Updates->Find and install
  3. Then add the update site (http://subclipse.tigris.org/update).
  4. Obey the dialog prompts
  5. Restart Eclipse.
  6. That's all there is to it!

A nice tutorial on Eclipse + Tomcat + Struts at Java Boutique. The tutorial illustrates usage of the Sysdeo Tomcat plugin for Eclipse.

xmlmodelling Eclipse UML plugin.
