Free remote unlock
Trycktill.com is a great site for unlocking SIM locked mobile phones.
The service is free - you just select your phone make and model (Nokia, LG, Siemens and others); select your country (most west european countries + Australia are covered) and finally choose your operator. That is it, the website then generates the necessary unlock codes, which you punch into your phone.
It is even possible to use this service if your operator is not listed. Provided you have the appropriate information at hand (network number etc.), you can submit it to the site and generate the codes.
