Wireless Bridge is Down
This weekend, a freakish incident involving a massive power tool and repeatedly popped fuses somehow fried the power supply of my main router. My trustworthy wireless bridge is thus rendered completely useless and the rest of the house is without internet connectivity.
My good friend Richard at the Maersk Institute came to my rescue and directed me to elfa.se, where I found a multi-purpose, 5 - 24 VDC switching power supply. It should be on its way as I write this…
Meanwhile, I have turned off the wireless bridge, dug out an old NorthQ NQ91000 Broadband Router and hooked it up with the cable modem to - at least partially - restore internet connectivity.
BTW, this post is a first for me in the sense that I am writing and posting it using the BlogDesk blog client. So far, it's been a pretty good experience, except for DirectUpload of images not working. I'm using FTP instead, which appears to work.
