Two easy steps that get you started using GPS navigation on your Nokia N95
If you have caugt any of the N95 buzz and hype you are probably aware that Nokia's latest überphone comes equipped with a GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver. Maybe you also know that smart2go - Nokia's own map and navigation program - comes pre-installed on phone and works »out of the box«?
But do you know how to get started using the N95 for navigation? Do know you are able to manually download and preload map data onto the phone? To save time and money by not downloading map data using the phone. Well, this get-started-using-GPS-on-the-N95 rocket of a guide has two stages that address precisely these two issues.
The first stage takes you through the process of using smart2go - found as the »Maps« application in the main menu - for the first time. The second stage covers step by sted how to use the free utility program »MapLoader« to manually download map data for Denmark and load it on to the phone's memory card.
