RSS feed is acting up - please help!

I have just noticed that the RSS feed for this site does not seem to work properly.

The feed should be available at 'http://www.gersbo.dk/feed/', but that page turns up blank.

If you have 2 seconds to spare, would you mind clicking the feed icon in the upper right corner? If you are using Firefox, you can also click the Live Bookmark icon in the address bar. Both should point to 'http://www.gersbo.dk/feed/' which in turn points to FeedBurner.

I would be most grateful if you would send me a one or two line report about what happens when you click either of these links. Post a comment or send me an email.

The funny (or tragic) thing is that FeedBurner have no problem picking up my feed using the above address and 'http://www.gersbo.dk/wp-rss2.php' works fine?

Thanks in advance - chris

Psssst! Secret test of Windows Live Messenger for Symbian S60

Windows Live Messenger S60 - gersbo.dkSorry for not posting for a while.

I have been on vacation and done some serious work around the house. To make up for my absence I offer a bit of breaking news: A genuine Microsoft Windows Live Messenger client for Symbian S60, 3rd edition. Not some dubious Chinese stuff, but the real McCoy - straight from Redmond and courtesy of uncle Bill.

My three current S60 favorites

I have three things that I really appreciate about the S60 OS on my N95 at the moment.

These are not earth shattering features, but it is just minor stuff - tweaks - that makes everyday usage easier and more enjoyable.

Some are customizations that are not part of the default configuration of the phone, so read on and let me know, if you have any other suggestions…

I think TV out on the N95 is a really cool feature

N95 TV out gersbo.dkSince getting a Nokia N95 I have been wanting to blog about its TV out function. To me, this feature is simply freaking awesome and very useful.

I had some initial problems plugging my N95 into my old B&O TV set. This TV does not have a phono input (RCA) that fits the N95 cable's jack plug.

Read on and see, how I solved that problem…

The update consists of firmware revision 12.0.013 and can be installed through Nokia Software Update (NSU).

I had to first update NSU itself - to version 1.3.84dk - in order to update the phone.

***** Update 21-07-2007 *****

SymbianFreak provides a changelog for the 12.0.013 firmware.

iPhone application shortcuts vs. Nokia N95 and S/E P1i

It seems to me that Steve Litchfield has some mysterious knack of including something in nearly every episode of his Smartphone Show, which triggers a response from me … in the form of a comment or link.

This time round it is Steve's mention of the difference between the application shortcuts on the iPhone and the S60 3rd edition standby screen - I feel I should comment and supplement Steve's remarks with something about the upcoming Sony Ericsson P1i.

Read on - see some nice pictures of the GUI's on the three phones … read what the hell, I am on about and do not forget to let me know, what you think of it…

Smooth blogging using Windows Live Writer

Windows Live Writer screenshot - gersbo.dk For the past couple of months, I have been writing and posting blog entries using Windows Live Writer (WLW). I have tried other blog editors in the past, but WLW is the only one that I have kept.

I am posting this plug/heads-up because I discovered and installed a recently released upgrade of WLW(Beta 2) today.

Keep reading and I will plug WLW some more by letting you know why I think it is really useful.
