Me and my N95 do Greece: Camera
I recently went to Greece on vacation and I of course brought my Nokia N95 with me, using it to snap some holiday pictures. Believe it or not, but that is actually kind of new to me - until recently I did not do that - in fact, I did not even own a camera.
Getting my first mobile phone with a camera in it changed all that - at least in some ways. Because I have my phone with me most of the time, I figured I might as well start using the camera and snap the odd picture or video. It is something I do with some caution, however - I do not want to spoil every funny or *special* moment because I must capture it and preserve it for all eternity. I still prefer to just experience those moments and concentrate on savoring them.
But I was definitely bitten by the bug, getting that camera phone. I quickly realized, however, that 640 x 480 pixels yield pretty poor image quality which was one of reasons why the 5 megapixel camera endeared me so to the Nokia N95. My level of (in)competence prevents me from being any kind of photography buff - I simply like to be able to trust the phone in my pocket to produce decent results - despite my amateur point-n-click snapshot technique.
The only exception is that I sometimes put the camera in »macro«-mode for close-ups - as can be seen from some of the images on this page.
So, this post is really just an excuse to show some photos taken with the N95.
Now, as you can see I am not a very accomplished photographer so if you would like to see more nice photos taken with the N95, go to the flickr Nokia N95 User Group - where you will find photos such as these:
