This week in mobility - week #19
Here are the news stories, blog posts and forum threads I found particular interesting this week:
- List of tips for speeding up the Nokia N95 OS (that would be Symbian OS S603rd) at N95 Users Forum. May 11th.
- You are likely to know most of these, but the tip about shortening the call log was new to me.
- At Forum Oxford the discussion continues about Adobe's announcement last week that it will now license Flash Lite software for free for mobile devices. May 8th.
- The discussion brought up an interesting link to a forecast showing shipments of Flash Lite enabled devices. I was surprised to see how few devices have been shipped with Flash Lite 3.0.
- I attended a seminar this week at which a Flash Lite developer stated that 10% of current handsets support Flash Lite.
- Comparison of different Flash Lite versions.
- Sprint et al (incl. Google) buys ClearWire (WiMax). May 8th.
- Teleselskaber investerer 8 mia. kr. i mobilt bredbånd [IN DANISH]. Investments in 3G networks by Danish MNOs surpasses USD 1.7 billion. May 6th.
- T-Mobile bestätigt UMTS-iPhone: Österreich wird Testmarkt - 3G iPhone is coming. May 5th.
