Nokia E61i unboxing video
The kind people at womworld.com have equipped me with a loaner Nokia E61i handset and I thought I would kick off by making an unboxing video.
I asked for the E61i (ok, so maybe I asked for the E71 first, but supply is limited) because I have had a fair deal of hours on both N series handsets (my own N95 and the N82 loaner device), and XXXX series handsets (my 6120 Classic and 6220 Classic). I would like to try something new and I have very little experience with E series handsets - zero experience with handsets with full QWERTY keyboard, actually.
I am going to switch my work phone for the E61i and see how it goes - by happy chance I just read Dotsisx's excellent "Ultimate Guide To Switching Devices" over at Symbian-Guru.com. I really look forward to hooking up the E61i with my company mail server - something I have never attempted with other phones.
I am probably not going to review the E61i from top to bottom - others have already done an excellent job at that (see GSMArena.com, AllAboutSymbian.com, SymbianWorld and Symbian-Guru). My initial ideas are to focus on the E series experience as a newcomer; various details pertaining to applications and the OS; and probably also the differences and similarities between E series my home turf, N series.
