Unboxing Nokia MD-5W Bluetooth Speakers

I have received a set of Nokia MD-5W Bluetooth Speakers as a gift from S60. I participated in the recent "Share on Ovi" S60 Ambassadors campaign, and because I ended up ranking among the top 75 contributors, I got to choose a gift from several different bluetooth accessories being offered. I am all set in the bluetooth headset/keyboard department and I therefore opted for the bluetooth speakers.

A note about the video: I tried something new, namely adding some commentary, and I realized it is not that easy to do -  impromptu, and in a foreign language. To me it sounds kind of cheesy, but maybe I will get the hang of it with a little practice?

The contents of the sales package

For some time I have been wanting some sort of music playback device for my nightstand, preferably something I could hook up my phone with. Something along the lines of an iPod sound dock. Thus, the MD-5W speakers come in pretty handy!

3.5 mm audio line in

The MD-5W speakers of course support the A2DP bluetooth profile so audio can be streamed from a compatible handset (plus the AVRCP profile that enables you to control music playback using the speakers' control buttons). Because the speakers also support the HFP (handsfree) and  HSP (headset) profile, they also double as a speakerphone. In addition, there is a 3.5 mm line in, which lets you connect basically any music device using the supplied audio cable.

Power supply connector

The speakers run on either the supplied power supply (charger), or four 'AA' batteries.
